Video Fitness Tips: Sledgehammer Training Video for Beginners, Part 2 Print E-mail

Last week I posted a video clip of what sledgehammer training looks like as I whacked away at a log.  This week’s video fitness tip features my sledgehammer, a tree stump and me.  I’m the one wearing the black shirt.  Regardless of what kind of shape that you’re in, sledgehammer training is a unique method of strength training and a great way to increase your fitness level.

This is one of the more unorthodox fitness tips that you’ll get anywhere, but sledgehammer training is one of the best things that you can do.  Whether you’re a personal trainer, work with a trainer or workout by yourself, swinging a sledgehammer is an effective way to train.  If you’re a little intimidated by the whole thing, here’s a sledgehammer training video clip that will show you what this thing looks like.

Sports Drinks are Supplements and Need to be Used Correctly Print E-mail

The fancy term for it is “Hydration Regimen” but we’ll just call it “drinking fluids.”  But no matter what you call it, you need to do it regularly.  And while water is probably the best thing to drink, all the liquids, fruit, veggies and other foods that you consume in a day help to keep you hydrated.  However, when it comes to sports drinks like Accelerade and Gatorade less is better.
